lunawind ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the lunawind mobile application and related services (the "App").

Your privacy is at the heart of why we built lunawind. We make a simple promise:
- Your data is yours. We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data to train AI models. Your conversations and mood data are not used for model training purposes.
We believe transparency builds trust, so this policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
3. Information We Collect
We collect several types of information from and about users of our App:
- Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from the authentication provider. We use this to create and manage your account.
- Conversation data: The messages you send in chat, which we process to provide AI-powered support responses.
- Mood and wellness data: Your mood check-ins, breathing exercise usage, and other wellness-related inputs you provide.
- Voice input: When you use voice input, your speech is sent to Google (on Android) or Apple (on iOS) for speech-to-text transcription. We receive only the transcribed text, not the audio.
- Device and connection information: In accordance with your device settings, we may receive information such as your device model, operating system, IP address, and identifiers needed to operate the App.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
- To create and administer your account
- To process your chat messages and deliver AI-powered responses
- To store and display your mood check-ins and wellness data
- To facilitate subscription payments for premium features
- To prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies
5. Disclosure and Third-Party Services
We may share information in the following situations:
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of our business

5.1 Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third-party service providers to operate lunawind. These providers process data on our behalf only as needed to provide their services.
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In: We use Google and Apple authentication to manage sign-up and login. These providers process your email, name, and profile information to keep your account secure.
- Google (Gemini): To power AI conversations, we send your chat messages to Google's Gemini API. Your message text is processed to generate responses. Google's use of API data is governed by their privacy policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.
- Google / Apple Speech Recognition: When you use voice input, your audio is sent to the device's default speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) for transcription. We receive only the resulting text. Please refer to Google and Apple privacy policies for how they handle voice data.
- RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and process payments through the App Store and Google Play. RevenueCat may receive your account identifier and purchase information. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google.
We do not use analytics tools or advertising providers. Your conversations and personal reflections are never sent to advertising or marketing services.
These third-party providers have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our data retention practices, except where we are required to retain it by law.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/HTTPS
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms to limit who can access your data
Please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

Our App does not permit anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it from our servers.
